FPC Donates $2,500 MDRT Grant to Truro Foodbank

Financial Planning Concepts (FPC) has donated a $2,500 USD grant from MDRT to Truro Foodbank, a local charity that provides emergency food and support to people in crisis. Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) is a global association of financial professionals who have achieved the highest level of professional achievement, Jerry is a long-time member.

Jerry and Donna are proud to support Truro Foodbank and the vital work they do in our community. Food insecurity is a serious problem in Cornwall, and Truro Foodbank is a lifeline for many families. It is hoped this donation will help them continue to provide essential support to those in need.

Truro Foodbank is a member of The Trussell Trust, a national network of food banks that provides emergency food to people in crisis. The food bank is open to anyone who is referred to them by a professional such as a social worker, doctor, or teacher. To receive assistance, individuals must first complete a short application form. Once approved, they are given a voucher that can be redeemed for a three-day supply of food.

The Foodbank relies on donations of food and money to operate. In addition to FPC’s donation, the food bank also receives support from local businesses, individuals, and community groups.

Truro Foodbank uses the ‘Bank the Food’ app to advertise what they are short of at any one time, as of today they are short of biscuits, deodorant, laundry liquid, pasta sauce and tinned fruit.

Simon Fann, Truro Foodbank Manager was very grateful for the donation, as it will help to provide food and support to those in need in our community.
