The cornerstone of Jerry’s work is the strength of the personal relationships that he develops with clients, many of whom have been with Financial Planning Concepts since inception in 2006. With carefully designed financial planning tools developed over many years in practice, Jerry and the team are able to provide the ‘FPC Promise’ of Financial Freedom, Peace of mind and Certainty to each clients’ unique goals, thus enabling them to take control of their journey to financial independence.
Jerry has worked in Financial Services since 1989 for a number of corporations such as Guardian Royal Exchange and the Royal Bank of Scotland. He passed the CII Diploma in Financial Planning in 1993 and set up Financial Planning Concepts in 2006. As such you can rest assured that he will provide expert and professional financial planning services. To earn his qualifications Jerry had to complete an approved educational programme, pass a series of rigorous examinations, and meet stringent experience requirements. He also adheres to a professional code of ethics and fulfils annual continued professional development requirements to remain current with planning strategies and financial trends.
Jerry has been a member of The Million Dollar Round Table since 2006, in fact it was attendance at his first meeting that persuaded him to set up his own business. Now a MDRT Top of the Table qualifying member, Jerry has become a Global Thought Leader through his international speaking engagements and is running a LinkedIn series of articles entitled You ‘CAN DO’ more.
Jerry was born in Yeovil, Somerset to a military family, raised in Plymstock, Devon and now lives in Truro, Cornwall. He is married to Donna who is the Co-owner and Executive Director of Financial Planning Concepts. Between them they have four children, two girls and two boys.
Outside of the office Jerry likes to keep fit with regular trips to the gym. He and Donna also spend hours walking the coastal paths of Cornwall with their Jack Russell Jago. As a member of Gen X, Jerry does his best to look after his aging mother, at the same time as offering support to his children and stepchildren. He also enjoys a close relationship with his granddaughter Lexi.
